Religious and Cultural Voices Meet in Madrid

Madrid welcomed faith representatives, cultural figures and civic voices to highlight cultural diversity and peaceful coexistence. The event, organised by Fundación Mejora at the national headquarters of Scientology in Madrid, focused on intercultural coexistence, religious freedom and respect. The dialogue included Clarisa Nieva of the Bahá’í Community of Spain, Fernando Hernández of the Madrid Municipal Police Diversity Management Unit, flamenco artist Tito Losada, a Roma guitarist and composer, and human rights educator Denise González. Speakers shared personal, cultural and institutional perspectives on how open dialogue can help build more inclusive communities.

During the event, participants explored themes such as religious freedom, intercultural coexistence and human dignity. Fundación Mejora framed the initiative with Scientology’s focus on human dignity and social betterment. Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to European and international institutions, said that cultural and religious diversity is a value for society when accompanied by mutual understanding and responsibility.
